VOLUNTEERS filled more than 80 bags with rubbish as they gave the River Don a much-needed clean-up.

The riverside litter pick on Saturday was organised by the Don Rivers Catchment Trust, while workers from Rotherham Borough Council’s Streetpride team took the rubbish away.

Among the waste saved from the water were car tyres and a gas bottle.
