Lisa Still raises funds for Rotherham Hospice while fulfilling a childhood dream

AN ADRENALINE junkie raised vital funds for Rotherham Hospice by fulfilling a childhood dream of taking to the skies — strapped to an aeroplane.

Lisa Still, a consultant at Slimming World, took on a skydive in 2013 — and it was just the start of a new, exciting lifestyle, as she decided to do a wing-walk.

“It was a childhood dream but also it was on my bucket list in 2013 when I did my first skydive,” she said.

“It was like: ‘What can I do next?’

“I'm kind of an adrenaline junkie.

“I like excitement and doing different things and wing-walking sounded like something right up my street.”

Lisa raised more than £1,400 with her challenge — having set a target of £400.

“I did the skydive for another hospice in West Yorkshire where my gran died but obviously it's a bit further away,” she said.

“This wing walk was a 40th birthday present from my husband, Will.

“I wanted to do it and raise funds for Rotherham Hospice this time as they are really close to my heart.

“The work they’re doing at Rotherham Hospice is absolutely fantastic — for patients, families and end-of-life care.

“My original goal was £400 and over the last couple of weeks we got more from the generous members at Rawmarsh Trade Club and from a group at Slimming World.”
