Libraries to reopen across Rotherham

A PHASED reopening of libraries began with three sites opening their doors on Saturday (5).

Brinsworth, Thurcroft and Wath started operating again with reduced hours and measures in place to keep staff and visitors safe.

Maltby Library will be next to open from Monday (14), with Wickersley and Greasbrough opening on September 21 and 28 respectively.

A Rotherham Council spokesperson said: “We’ll keep you posted on further reopenings during October, including those re-opening after significant upgrades as part of our borough-wide libraries investment programme.

“Until libraries have reopened, they will continue to provide the call and collect service, which gives library members the chance to order a book online and collect it from the library.”
