Letter: Pride in our streets?

“We’d better crack on and finally repair the potholed roads; Middle Lane to junction of Wickersley Road.”

“Now let’s wait a bit and ‘dress’ the road.”

“Dress it?”

“Yes, with loads of little stones, then leave it so they flick up and damage windscreens and cars, that’ll show 'em, but we’ll put signs up tellin ‘em to go slow so it’s not our fault.”

“We are called Streetpride... ha... ha... ha...”

“What about Badsley Moor Lane, that’s really bad? They’ll have to wait.”
