LETTER: No consistency on parking

I WAS saddened to read that a poppy seller had been fined for parking for a few minutes on the pavement near the Chapel on the Bridge and think in this case the fine should be waived.

I would like to know however, what the council’s parking services manager deems ‘a consistent approach'’? There are always cars parked on double yellow lines and on the pavement along Wellgate and near the bottom of Hollowgate all without disability passes sometimes making it difficult to get  past.
