LETTER: Help protect wonderful scenery

‘MUST Britain’s beauty be despoiled’ is the insistent cry from those who love our countryside.

The help of all wayfarers is nought in an endeavour to combat the evil of litter in the places of accessible to the public. Let us also help to protect the wild flowers from indiscriminate plucking and the wild birds from the despoiler who takes eggs etc.

The Wintertide holidays will give scenery preservers their opportunity to preach tidiness in beauty spots and reverence for flora and fauna.
