THE trial date for the teenager accused of murdering Leonne Weeks has been delayed.

Shea Peter Heeley (18) appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday via video link from HMP Manchester.

His trial was due to begin on July 10 but has now been adjourned for further reports to be carried out.

Heeley, of Doe Quarry Lane, Dinnington, will next appear in court in around six weeks but a new trial date is yet to be fixed.

Judge Stephen Males extended Heeley’s custody time limit to early August 2017.
