Compere is Upfront Comedy founder John Simmit, an experienced actor and comedian and a regular on the Jongleurs circuit.

But unusually he is perhaps best known for providing the voice of purple Teletubby Dipsy.

Simmit’s headliner for this particular showcase comes in the form of TV presenter and comedian Richard Blackwood.

Now a presenter for Choice FM, Blackwood’s varied media career has seen him as a presenter for MTV, MC, and occasional actor, while his love for performing stand up comedy has always remained consistent.

His fellow line up fillers include the award wining comedian Slim, Leicester-born motor mouth Annette Fagon and the promising talents of up and coming comedian Ola, who at the tender age of 22 is fastly establishing a name for himself on the UK circuit.
