Knife-wielding armed robbers tie up shopkeeper

A SHOPKEEPER was tied up and threatened by four men armed with knives who stole cash and cigarettes.

At about 11pm last night, it is reported that four men armed with knives entered Today’s Express convenience store in Upper Millgate, Rotherham.

The men are said to have attacked the shopkeeper, tied him up and stole cash and cigarettes before they fled the scene on foot.

Det Insp Lee Wilson said: “This was a particularly nasty attack that has understandably left the victim shaken. 

“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact police if they have any information that could assist our investigation.”
