Kittens stolen after owner threatened with knife

DETECTIVES appealed for information after two Bengal kittens were reportedly stolen after their owner was threatened with a knife.

Two men in red balaclavas gained entry to a house on Hawke Close, Rawmarsh, at 1.30am yesterday (Tuesday).

They threatened a man with a knife. He fled the scene and returned to find the pets had been taken.

A police spokesperson said: “If anyone witnessed anything suspicious in the early hours of yesterday, or has been offered a Bengal kitten for sale, please contact 101. The incident number is 52 of February 23.”
