Kitchen fire in Holmes was deliberate
A MATTRESS was set alight on Saturday in an arson attack at a property which is being built in Holmes.
Firefighters from Rotherham and Elm Lane stations were called to the deliberate fire on Cavendish Road at 2.43pm, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
An accumulation of refuse, including a mattress and furnishings, were alight in the kitchen, added the spokesperson.
The kitchen was well alight and the firefighters left the scene at 3.47pm.
