Kiln Road update includes man's arrest on suspicion of human trafficking

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of numerous offences but they have released as police enquiries continue.

POLICE have provided more details of the offences for which two people were arrested after a raid at a house in Kimberworth.

Officers executed the warrant at Kiln Road at 11.40pm last Thursday (May 19).

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences as part of an ongoing investigation.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Two people were arrested from the address: a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, kidnap and money laundering, and a 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking. 

“They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
