FAST food fans are being urged to keep an eye out online for news of crisis-hit restaurants reopening.
Chicken and chips outlet KFC was forced to close all its 900 branches across the UK after problems with its chicken supplier.
The chain, which has branches in Parkgate, Manvers, Dalton and Canklow, said yesterday it had brought a new delivery partner on board and encouraged customers to check at a dedicated new website for updates.
But as of this morning just one Rotherham restaurant was open — at the Onyx Business Park in Manvers.
A spokesman said: “We anticipate the number of closures will reduce today and over the coming days as our teams work flat out all hours to clear the backlog.
“Each day more deliveries are being made, however, we expect the disruption to some restaurants to continue over the remainder of the week, meaning some will be closed and others operating with a reduced menu or shortened hours.”
