TIME is running out to nominate unsung heroes for a Rotherham Community Achievement Award.
The deadline for nominations is this Friday, August 30, with three awards up for grabs: volunteer, young volunteer and project.
Organised by Voluntary Action Rotherham on behalf of the Rotherham Together Partnership, the Community Achievement Awards are held annually to celebrate the work of individuals and projects in the voluntary and community sector that have made a significant difference to the communities of Rotherham.
Janet Wheatley, chief executive at Voluntary Action Rotherham, said: “Rotherham’s Community Achievement Awards are a special celebration.
“They recognise the significant work of people and projects in our borough that go that extra mile to support local people and communities.”
Those shortlisted will be invited to a glittering awards ceremony and dinner at the Carlton Park Hotel in November.
Nomination forms are available to download from www.varotherham.org.uk/community-achievement-awards.
