THE JURY in the case of three men accused of sexually abusing two schoolgirls has retired to consider its verdicts.

Yasir Iqbal Hussain (38), of Norborough Road, Tinsley; Azad Akram Raja (38), of Adney Street, Sheffield; and Faisel Hussain (34), of Lovetot Road, Kimberworth, are on trial at Sheffield Crown Court accused of six offences between them.

Yasir Hussain is accused of two counts of indecent assault against the first complainant, who we are referring to as Girl A.

Raja faces two counts of indecent assault against the same complainant.

Faisel Hussain faces two counts of indecent assault against a second woman, Girl B.

The jury has been asked by the judge to return a not guilty verdict in relation to a count of rape against Yasir Hussain.

All of the defendants deny the charges.

The jury retired to consider its verdicts today.

The defendants were charged as part of the National Crime Agency's Operation Stovewood which is looking into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013.
