Owen Phillips (7) and Harris Kiiza (6) were in the dock to settle a dispute over a broken iPad as part of the judge’s Christmas Kids Court special on ITV.

And the boys proved such a hit that more TV work is in the pipeline after the cute duo were dubbed “the next Ant and Dec”.

The boys were chosen from 10,000 youngsters to take part in the show - which has replaced its usual feuding adults with children who want to settle their playground disputes.

Bramley Sunnyside pupil Owen and Anston Hillcrest schoolboy Harris met while playing for Manchester City under-7s two years ago and have been friends ever since.

Owen now plays for Manchester United but both boys still represent Sheffield Wednesday and Engalnd under-8s - gaining caps against Tunisia this year.

In court, Owen claimed his best friend had dropped his new tablet on the floor during a sleepover - but Harris told Judge Rinder that magic had caused the fall.

Filming for the show saw the boys visit Alton Towers and Old Trafford football ground.

Their day in court ended with them being presented with England shirts signed by captain Harry Kane.

Dad Nick Phillips (41) of Wickersley, said: “Producers said they were absolutely fantastic and a raw talent - they’ve now got an interview lined up for Pinewood Studios.”

Truck driver Nick added: “We’ve asked them what they want to do and they’ve both said they want to go into acting together.

“A lot of people have said they want to keep them together as they act so well together and have good chemistry - someone said they were the new Ant and Dec!”

Nick said Judge Rinder (above) met the families after filming and said the boys were “amazing”.

Dad Abbell Kiiza (36), of South Anston, said: “It’s nice that Harris has been able to do this with his best friend.”

Leisure centre manager Abbel added: “It was Harris’s first time on TV in front cameras.

“He did amazing - he’s good under pressure which he’s got from football coaching - that’s when he performs best at Manchester City.

“The whole experience was amazing for him, he enjoyed staying in hotels, being interviewed, arguing with the judge in court.

“He wants to do more TV work now.”

The families will come together to watch Judge Rinder’s Christmas Kids Court when it airs on Christmas Eve at 5.30pm on ITV.
