JUBILEE: Living doll’s a winner in fancy dress
SUSAN Armstrong donned her dazzling red, white and blue dress for the coronation day fancy dress contest — only to be upstaged by a doll in a box!
Eight-year-old Susan joined a clutch of other kids in dressing for the occasion in Woodhall Road, Herringthorpe.
But the girl on the far left who had come as a child’s doll still in its packaging took the top prize.
Susan, now Susan Johnson and still living in Herringthorpe, said she and husband Thomas would be celebrating the jubilee with family, adding: “We’ve got the banners ready.”
