Jerry Appicella death: Three more arrested on suspicion of murder

TWO boys and a teenager have been held on suspicion of the murder of Jerry Appicella, bringing the total number of people arrested to seven.

Police carried out a series of warrants yesterday (Thursday) morning and arrested two male juveniles and a 19-year-old man, a spokeswoman for the force said.

The body of Mr Appicella (51) was found inside a property in Craganour Place in Denaby Main at around 9.45am on Sunday morning after officers responded to calls of concerns for his welfare.

Three girls were arrested on Tuesday and were released under investigation, a spokeswoman said.

A boy was arrested on Wednesday and released on police bail, she added.

Police believe Mr Appicella was involved in an incident prior to his death on Tuesday, December 3, near to the Go Local Shop in Hickleton Street, Denaby.
