A CHURCH will be transformed with some “straw-some” creations this weekend.

Scarecrows will be just part of the fun at St Margaret’s Parish Church in Swinton as the annual festival returns.

There will also be face painting, rides, craft and games stalls set up in the church, which will be open from 11am until 5pm on Saturday and 11am until 3pm on Sunday.

The theme for this year’s scarecrows is children’s nursery rhymes and books.
