AN INQUEST into the death of a former Rotherham Titans rugby player who collapsed during training has been adjourned.

Doncaster Coroner’s Court heard four days of evidence on the death of Ian Williams (27), who suffered a cardiac arrest at a Doncaster Knights training session on February 20, 2018, and died despite the efforts of clubmates and paramedics to save him.

The inquest was adjourned yesterday (Thursday) until February 17 when more witnesses are due to give evidence, a spokeswoman for the court said.
