Incredible Karter weighs in at just over ONE pound

MIRACLE baby Karter Pearce is going from strength to strength, despite weighing just over ONE pound when he was born.

The little fighter arrived three months prematurely  weighing only 1lb 3oz and will be staying in hospital until the day he was due to be born in April.

And to make the birth even more special, Karter’s mum Sarah had been told she would never conceive after spending 11 years on dialysis.

Sarah (26), has suffered kidney problems since she was six weeks old, and had transplant when she was 12.

Sarah, of Ash Grove, Rawmarsh, said: “I’d tried to hold on until 24 weeks but he wasn’t going to wait. He’s had a few bad days but mostly good ones.

“Karter is very well proportioned and fully formed.

“He’s just so tiny and I’ve got to keep strong for him.

Karter is currently in Sheffield’s Jessops Hospital.
