Hunt for South Yorkshire's top businesswomen

THE search is on to find the outstanding businesswoman of the year—and it could be someone from Rotherham.

The Women in Business Awards has been launched by Forward Ladies, and the winner will be announced at a prestigious awards lunch and ceremony in September, sponsored by The Met Hotel in Leeds.

The outstanding business woman will be selected from the winners of the nine individual award categories.

The awards and dinner have been created as a result of demand from the 11,000 members of Forward Ladies—a women's support and networking community which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

Etta Cohen, the founder of Forward Ladies said: "We have been asked several times by our members to run this kind of award, and we felt the time was now right to launch the awards.

“We have an amazing pool of talented women in Yorkshire and the Humber, either running their own businesses or working for companies which are at the cutting edge of innovation and technology.

“Forward Ladies embraces women from all sectors and at all stages of their professional life, and this is our way of recognising their valuable contribution in the success of the region.
