Hunt for gang in dancefloor attack

A NIGHCLUBBER was left with a broken nose and potentially long-term impaired vision after an attack on a dance floor.

A NIGHCLUBBER was left with a broken nose and potentially long-term damage to his eyesight after an attack on a dance floor.

He needed stitches to one eye when he and a pal, both in their early 20s, were allegedly set upon by a group at Tryst in Rotherham town centre.

Pc Gary Cooper said: “This would appear to be a violent and unprovoked attack on two men who simply went out to enjoy their weekend.

“I believe the group of men may be local to the area and I would urge anyone who saw what happened, or has information about this incident to contact the police immediately.”

It happened at 12.30am on Saturday, July 2. There were five or six men in the group, all described as white, aged about 20 and wearing jeans and T-shirts.
