Hunt for driver after biker hurt in suspected hit-and-run

POLICE are on the hunt for a suspected "hit-and-run" driver after a collision in Thrybergh this afternoon.

Officers are currently on scene after reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and car on Park Vale Drive, said a police spokeswoman.

"It is believed that the car involved in the incident failed to stop at the scene," added the spokeswoman.

"The rider of the motorbike has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the vehicle and driver."

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 441 of September 24.
