HUNDREDS of people have paid tribute on Facebook to a young dad who fell victim to a silent killer.
An inquest in Rotherham into the death of 26-year-old Steven Wilson heard that he was died in his sleep by after a night out with his girlfriend, Kate-Lea Morris.
The ex-roofer had suffered from chest problems after a car crash seven years ago, but appeared to have recovered.
A post-mortem examination this week revealed that he had died of "silent" pneumonia.
Steven leaves a son, Lewis, aged eight, who is being cared for by his great-grandparents, Jean and Thomas Wilson, at their home in Canklow, where Steven also lived.
More than 900 people have joined a Facebook tribute group, “RIP Wilson x”, set up in his memory.
