HS2 will lead to street demolition

ALL the houses in a Tinsley street will be demolished if the HS2 railway station at Meadowhall gets the go-ahead, it was revealed this week.

Greasbro Road in Tinsley will be destroyed to make way for the multi-billion rail project.

The street, built to house steelworkers in the past, is close to the M1 and an industrial park and half of it was demolished to create the Tinsley Viaduct. Planning permission was recently granted for a waste sorting depot nearby.
