Houses to be built on site of former Herringthorpe nursing home
TWELVE houses will be built on the vacant former site of a residential nursing home, under new plans.
The development of three-bedroom properties would be built on Browning Road in Herringthorpe where Kirk House once stood.
Applicants Horizon Fund Management, based in Carlton in Lindrick, said the new houses would have a positive impact on the local economy.
A spokesman added: “The site is currently vacant and within a residential area. This is therefore considered to be the most appropriate use of the site.”
Rotherham Borough Council is expected to make a decision in mid-September.
