House fire in East Herringthorpe was accidental

FIREFIGHERS concluded the cause of a property fire in East Herringthorpe was accidental.

Crews from Rotherham, Maltby and Aston attended the blaze on Ridgeway Close at 7.10pm on Friday.

"No-one was injured and the fire started in the electronic consumer box," said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

"The cause of the fire was accidental and crews left the scene at 7.45pm."
