Hotel thief jailed for Carlton Park burglary

A THIEF who burgled the Carlton Park Hotel and stole alcohol and food has been jailed.

Ricky Myers (38), Dovercourt Road, Masbrough, stole £133.70 worth of alcohol and food after burgling the hotel on September 9 this year.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at Sheffield Magistrates' Court and admitted three other theft offences.

The burglary was committed while Myers was subject to a suspended sentence which was handed to him three days before he targetted the hotel for three other theft offences.

He was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison.
