Hospital entrance revamp begins

STAFF and visitors are being warned of temporary diversions at Rotherham General Hospital from Monday.

Work is about to start on the main road though the grounds of the Moorgate hospital and temporary diversions will be in place over the next few weeks.

The hospital’s main entrance is undergoing a major redevelopment in a bid to create a safer and more level access.

Work will start on Monday  to form a new pedestrian crossing from the existing car park into the new front entrance.

As a result there will be a partial road closure directly in front of the main entrance from Monday until Friday from 9am until 4pm.

This will happen again from October 25 until October 29 from 9am until 4pm.
