Hose reel jet cools car engine blaze in Moorgate

FIREFIGHTERS used a hose reel jet to cool the “smoking” engine compartment of a car in Moorgate. 

Crews from Rotherham were called to Broom Valley Road at 2.13am this morning. 

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “Upon arrival, they found the engine compartment of a Seat Cupra smoking. This was cooled with a hose reel jet and dealt with by 2.42am.”
