Hooded teenagers stab man in Conisbrough street

THREE hooded teenagers who assaulted a man in the street this afternoon (Wednesday), leaving him with stab wounds, are being hunted by police.

The 49-year-old man was assaulted in Conisbrough at around 1.50pm while walking in the Crags area near Fullerton Avenue.

Police said the attack was carried out by three youths aged around 18 and wearing hooded tops.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The 49-year-old suffered what are believed to be stab wounds in the incident and was taken to hospital to receive treatment. 

"His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening."

Witnesses or anyone with information are being urged to come forward.
