Homes could be left without power as Storm Eleanor sweeps in

The Met Office has updated a yellow ‘be aware’ warning for wind, which is now valid from 6pm on Tuesday until 6pm on Wednesday.

A spokesman said: “The warning has been adjusted to bring the northern boundary southwards, and to combine with the warning previously in force for Wednesday.
