Former GP Colin Shawcross (58), was battered with a pickaxe handle and his body stuffed into the boot of his own S-type Jaguar before it was buried in woods.
Telecoms engineer Andrew Hill (49), who denies murdering the doctor in a fit of jealousy, said in prison after his arrest that a "third party" carried out the killing of Dr Shawcross, who was having an affair with Hill's wife Julie.
