HGV lorry blaze on M18 southbound near Bramley was accidental
A HGV lorry accidentally set on fire on the M18 southbound yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
The fire occurred between J1 Bramley and J2 Wadworth, which resulted in the carriageway being closed.
Fire crews from Maltby, Dearne and Edlington were called to the scene at 4.25pm.
Traffic officers and South Yorkshire Police also attended.
"No-one was injured in the fire and the cause of the fire was accidental," said a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman.
Highways England said all lanes re-opened at around 5.20pm.
