The new kit was unveiled today and follows the launches earlier this summer of the red-and-white home jersey and the white away top with black and red pinstripes that have both been well received by fans.

All three strips have the same main sponsor - financial-services company Embark - which means the Millers will be allowed to play in red and white on their travels if there is no kit clash with the home side.

A club statement said: "We have been overwhelmed by the reaction to the release of our kit designs for the upcoming season so far and are hopeful that this more simplistic design proves to be another hit with our supporters."

Next season will kick off on September 12, it was confirmed today, with a finishing date of May 8 or 9.

The kew kit, which goes on sale on Monday, is completed by black shorts and black socks which have a flash of red.

The logo of Hughie Construction will be on the back of the shirt

Shirt prices: adult £42, junior £31.
