Helena puts on jazz for heroes

The Brecon Hotel is hosting a jazz night to raise money for national charity Help For Heroes.

The event on March 26 will feature live music, a two-course meal and fund-raising activities.

The idea came from Helena Stancliffe (27), whose family owns the hotel.

Helen’s close family friend Sgt Stephen Cartwright is currently serving in Afghanistan.

She said: “I wanted to raise funds to support the members of the armed forces who day in day out risk their lives in Afghanistan.

“I also wanted people to have fun while they are donating and the jazz night promises to be an amazing event. I do hope people will come along.”
