Grass and scrubland catch fire in Wombwell

DEARNE FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a grassland fire in Wombwell.

The fire in Wood Walk at 7pm yesterday is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 7.40pm.

Almost at the same time, another fire broke out in Wombwell

Firefighters from Tankersley station attended an accidental fire involving scrubland on Dove Valley Way at 7.15pm.

The crew came away at 8pm.

Maltby firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving fencing on Bethel Road, Eastwood at 8.30pm. The crew left the scene 20 minutes later.
