ARSONISTS set light to grass and rubbish in the Dearne Valley last night.
Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate grass fire on Brookfields Way in Wath at 7.25pm and were at the scene for 40 minutes.
At 8.05pm, a Dearne crew were out again, this time to a rubbish fire on High Street in Mexborough. They spent almost half an hour at the scene.
Three fire crews from Dearne, Adwick and Doncaster stations were then dispatched to a rubbish fire on York Street in Thurnscoe at 8.35pm.
They were at the incident until just after 11pm.
A spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said all three fires were believed to have been started deliberately.
