"Grab a bargain" invite as group aims to boost mission to help homeless
A GROUP of friends helping the homeless aim to raise cash with a series of sales over the next week.
Street Friends, who hand out food and clothes to people on the streets of Rotherham, Retford and Worksop every week, are holding their fundraising sales at Dinnington Resource Centre from 10am to 1pm on this Saturday (April 17) and next Saturday (April 24) and from 11am to 1pm from Monday to Friday next week.
Group co-founder Rachael Havenhand (pictured, right) said: “There will be something for everyone — clothes, board games, a boutique table and a 50p table.
“We’re trying to sell what we have and put the money back into the work we’re doing.”
