Alucraft Systems’ acquisition of Façade and Glazing Solutions includes its 3,000sq metre manufacturing facility at Manvers.

The buyer said it planned to reopen the centre with an initial 19 staff and would expand as new work was secured.

Alucraft commercial director John Foster described the move as a decisive and positive step for the firm.

“This sends a very strong message to the construction industry,” he added. “We have added a fantastic facility, which will increase our operational capacity, allowing us to deliver larger and more complex projects. It will also create additional employment opportunities in the area.”

The Façade and Glazing Solutions centre traded as Glassolutions before a 2018 buyout by French building materials company Saint-Gobain.

Alucraft was founded in 1975 and has its headquarters in Dublin.
