TRIBUTES have been paid to a 16-year-old girl hit by a train at Meadowhall.
Daisy French was pronounced dead at the scene on Wednesday evening.
Friends paid tribute on Facebook, with Megan Woodward posting: “You never failed to make me giggle, I am so proud to say you’re my best friend.
“Thank you for the amazing times we shared together, missing you every single day sweetheart.”
Amber Riley wrote: “Daisy, you had the most amazing, infectious laugh ever and you lit up the room with just your smile.
“You were one of the strongest people I had ever met in my life.”
Daisy’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Volunteers from the Samaritans have visited the railway station, urging people not to suffer in silence.
