Girl (17) sexually assaulted at Rotherham Interchange

The victim was sitting alone at stand A4 when a stranger sat beside her and began talking to her.

Police said the suspect was reported to have sexually assaulted the girl before getting on the X22 bus at about 6.10pm on April 22.

A spokesperson said: “A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released under investigation. 

“Officers at Rotherham CID are now keen to speak to anyone who was in the interchange at this time and may have witnessed the incident.”
