Gas still off after water leak
By Antony Clay | 13/04/2017
PROPERTIES on a Rawmarsh street are still without gas today after a burst water main cut off the supply.
Gas experts from the National Grid have been working at St Nicholas Walk in Rawmarsh where a water main was found on Tuesday to have burst and leaked into the gas supply.
National Grid said 25,000 litres of water had been pumped out yesterday alone to clear the service pipes.
A spokesman for the company said: “We have been working closely with the water company and are doing all we can to resolve the situation and restore gas supplies as soon as possible.”
