Garden waste set alight in Rotherham town centre car park

GARDEN waste was burned deliberately in a car park in Rotherham town centre last night (Wednesday).

Firefighters from the town's station were called to the deliberate fire in a car park on Coke Hill at 9.50pm and spent about 40 minutes putting the fire out using hose reels, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
