Gang stole two Land Rovers during burglary

A GANG assaulted broke into a house and assaulted a man before stealing two Land Rovers.

The group of men forced entry into a property on Cadeby Road, Sprotbrough, at about 2am on Friday.

They demanded money and made threats, police said, and a 28-year-old resident was punched in the face.

The group left after grabbing the keys to a Land Rover Discovery and a Land Rover Discovery TDI, both of which were later found abandoned.

A police spokesman said: “A number of other items were taken during the incident. Do you live locally? Did you hear or see anything suspicious?”
