Free ‘spook-tacular’ event at the castle

ARCHERY and sword fencing will be on the menu at on a day of activities this weekend.

The Spook-tacular event at Conisbrough Castle on Saturday is free and open to those aged 11 and 17.

Specially-trained staff will run the archery and sword fencing sessions from 11am to 4pm. 

English Heritage are offering free entry to the castle, where other activities will include a bird of prey display, the Medieval Medicine Woman, free face painting, craft activities and a fancy dress competition.
