Free course for potential office workers

PEOPLE interested in working in an office can take part in a free three-week course.

Barnsley Council is launching the introduction to administration course at The Wombwell Centre, Barnsley Road, Wombwell.

During the course learners will gain experience in word processing, office etiquette, policies and legal requirements, the internet and spreadsheets.

The course runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Tuesday, June 11, 18 and 25.

A spokesman from the council’s adult and family learning service said: “The course has been designed for anyone who already has basic computer knowledge and is interested in furthering their skills.”
