Fourth arrest in East Dene murder case

DETECTIVES investigating the New Year’s Day killing of Fatjon Oruci have made a fourth arrest for murder.

A 33-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested yesterday afternoon and later released under investigation, South Yorkshire Police said.

Mr Oruci (22), from London, was found on Doncaster Road at East Dene at about 1.20am on January 1.

A post mortem found he died of catastrophic injuries as a result of beating, and had also been stabbed.

A 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested the same day in London on suspicion of murder. 

A 23-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested on suspicion of murder on January 4. All three were released and are no longer suspects in the investigation.
