Four years for sneaky burglar
A THIEF who snatched a laptop and rucksack from a house has been locked up for four years and eight months.
Stephen Welsh (25) committed two sneak-in burglaries at properties on Midland Road and Carnoustie Street in Swinton on November 8.
The Swinton man, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court.

Hide AdA spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Police would like to remind residents of the importance of keeping their doors and windows locked and valuable items out of sight from would be thieves.
“Handbags, purses, keys and mobile phones should be kept away from easy to reach areas.
“If anyone would like any further crime prevention advice, they should contact police on 101 and ask to speak with their local safer neighbourhood team.”
